Privacy policy

This policy describes how Räumen24 GmbH processes personal data. It follows the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

Version: 19 October 2026. This is a courtesy translation; the German version is authoritative.

1. Controller

The controller for the processing of personal data within the meaning of the FADP is Räumen24 GmbH, which operates under the name “Räumen & Werten”:

Räumen24 GmbH
Saatlenstrasse 18, 8051 Zürich
Email: info@raeumen-werten.ch
Phone: 076 606 22 83

For questions about data protection, contact the address above.

2. What data we process

2.1 When you visit the website

When you open this website, your browser transmits technical data that the hosting provider records in server log files: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This data is needed to run and secure the website and is not combined with other data sources.

2.2 When you make an enquiry

If you use the enquiry form, call us or send an email, we process the details you give us: name, phone number, email address where given, details of the property (location, size, condition, timeframe) and your message.

You can upload photos and videos of the rooms through the form. They belong to the enquiry and are processed and deleted together with it. If you write to us on WhatsApp, the message runs through the service of Meta Platforms under its terms. We use WhatsApp only if you choose that channel, and only for your enquiry.

2.3 In the course of a job

If a job comes about, we also process the data needed to carry it out: invoice and property address, details of the right to dispose (such as a certificate of inheritance or an executor’s certificate), photo documentation of the property before and after the clearance, and payment data.

Photo documentation serves exclusively as proof towards clients, property managers and communities of heirs. It is not used for advertising and not published.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • Answering enquiries and preparing quotes
  • Carrying out and documenting jobs
  • Invoicing and accounting
  • Meeting statutory retention and proof obligations
  • Running, securing and improving the website

The processing is based on the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, on statutory obligations, and on our overriding interest in a secure and functioning website. Where consent is required, we obtain it; it can be withdrawn at any time.

4. Disclosure to third parties

We pass on personal data only as far as necessary to carry out the job or as required by law. Recipients may be:

  • Disposal companies and recycling centres, as far as needed for the disposal itself
  • Cleaning partners, if a final clean is booked
  • Property managers, if attendance at the handover is agreed
  • Fiduciary and accounting service providers
  • Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, Switzerland) as the hosting provider of this website, of our customer management (enquiries with uploaded photos and videos) and of our e-mail mailbox, as a processor
  • Google (Gmail, USA), because the notice of a new enquiry goes to a mailbox of the owner at Google
  • Meta Platforms (WhatsApp), if you write to us on WhatsApp
  • Other IT service providers as processors
  • Authorities, as far as required by law

Processors are contractually obliged to process personal data only on our instructions and to protect it to the same extent as we do.

5. Disclosure abroad

The website, our customer management (enquiries, notes, uploaded photos and videos) and our e-mail mailbox are held by Infomaniak Network SA. According to the provider, the servers are in Switzerland, so no disclosure abroad is needed for them. The notice of a new enquiry goes by e-mail to a mailbox of the owner at Google (USA); it contains the details from the form, but no photos or videos. Messages on WhatsApp are processed by Meta Platforms in the USA and in Ireland. The transfer to Google and Meta rests on the provider’s standard contractual clauses or on its certification under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

6. Cookies and analytics

Advertising measurement is currently switched off. We do not load Google Ads or OpenAI measurement pixels and do not use advertising tracking cookies.

7. Retention period

We keep personal data as long as needed for the purposes named or as statutory retention obligations require. Business records are subject to the ten-year retention obligation under the Code of Obligations. Enquiries that do not lead to a job are usually deleted after twelve months, together with the uploaded photos and videos. If the enquiry becomes a job, the pictures form part of the photo record. The photo record is kept for as long as it is needed as proof towards the client, the landlord and the authorities, at most two years from the handover. Server log files are automatically overwritten after a short period.

8. Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. The website is delivered exclusively over encrypted HTTPS. Access to job data is limited to the people who need it for their work.

9. Your rights

Within the applicable law you have in particular the following rights:

  • Information on whether and which personal data we process about you
  • Correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion of data whose processing is no longer necessary
  • Objection to processing
  • Withdrawal of consent given, with effect for the future
  • Release or transfer of data in a common electronic format

A message to info@raeumen-werten.ch is enough to exercise them. We may ask for proof of identity. These rights may be limited in the cases provided for by law, for example where retention obligations stand in the way.

10. Right to complain

You have the right to complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC): edoeb.admin.ch.

11. Changes

We may adapt this privacy policy at any time. The version published on this page applies.
